"Mom!"

"Mom, what happened to you?"

The Lin family members rushed forward to support her.

Lin Lei remarked, "It must have been Ye Fengyun who angered her!"

"Ye Fengyun, get out! The Lin family does not welcome you!" Lin Heng erupted in fury and immediately ordered his men to expel Ye Fengyun from the estate.

Ye Fengyun remained silent, watching Lin Qinghuan return from the corridor. He cast a questioning glance her way.

Lin Qinghuan caught her breath and gave him an "OK" gesture.

Ye Fengyun nodded and turned to look at Lin Heng.

"I can walk out on my own."

With his hands clasped behind his back, he turned and walked away, his demeanor detached and unconstrained.

Watching him leave, Lin Yuzhen whispered to Tang Shihan, "Shihan, shouldn't you go after him? You just got married; if a divorce happens now, it will greatly affect your career. Besides, if you divorce now, the division of assets will be a major problem. Since the contract hasn't expired, we would be in breach and would have to pay a massive penalty."

She was right; if they divorced now, Tang Shihan would be the one to suffer the loss.

Tang Shihan set down her chopsticks and stood up. "Grandmother, I have some business at the company; I'll be heading back now."

Lin Heng gave a cold snort. "No one wants your family here anyway. You should all go."

Lin Yuzhen and Tang Dahai’s expressions were unsightly, but they chose to leave.

Outside the villa, Ye Fengyun did not head down the mountain. Instead, using his agile skills, he scaled the perimeter wall, jumped onto a window ledge, and reached the window of the Matriarch’s third-floor bedroom.

Looking through the glass, Ye Fengyun surveyed the interior.

The walls were covered in talismans, and the floor was littered with the tools of a spirit-summoning ritual. On a nearby table sat a torn-up Bible and a spilled vial of holy water. It was clear that exorcists had been there, but they had all failed.

Yet, a mystery remained: if exorcists had visited, why did the Lin family act as if they were oblivious to what was happening to the Matriarch? It was as if the exorcists had never come, as if the rituals in the room had never taken place.

Just then, the bedroom door opened. Yun Lanzong blocked the others from entering and helped the Matriarch inside himself.

As she lay on the bed, the Matriarch suddenly regained her senses and looked at Yun Lanzong in terror.

"You... why are you still here? Where is the priest? Where are the exorcists?" the Matriarch demanded, her voice raspy, as if something were lodged in her throat.

Yun Lanzong did not think much of her sudden lucidity, assuming that Ye Fengyun’s mystical confrontation had weakened the curse upon her.

Ye Fengyun narrowed his eyes. Suddenly, a shout rang out.

"Ye Fengyun, what are you doing up there?"

Startled, Ye Fengyun quickly vaulted to another ledge, narrowly avoiding detection. Looking down, he saw Tang Dahai questioning him with a hostile glare.

Ye Fengyun jumped down and asked with a faint smile, "Is there a problem?"

"A problem? You have the nerve to ask if there’s a problem!" Tang Dahai’s eyes flashed with anger as he raised his hand to strike him.

However, the aggressive slap was easily caught by Ye Fengyun.

"I don't have time to play games with you people right now. Just leave."

This was the first time Ye Fengyun had shown such a terrifying expression toward Tang Shihan's parents. At this moment, he radiated an icy chill that made Tang Shihan feel as though he were a complete stranger.
