Chapter 112
On the way back, the more Tang Shihan thought about it, the angrier she became.
Although they were a couple by contract, they still had to abide by the rules of marriage. For him to cheat was the greatest insult to her, Tang Shihan, and the ultimate violation of their agreement. A lack of integrity regarding contracts was something she despised above all else.
When Tang Shihan arrived home, Ye Fengyun was just about to head out, and the two collided.
"Wife, didn't you go to work?" Ye Fengyun asked, surprised.
Tang Shihan stared at him with icy eyes and demanded, "Where were you that night?"
"That night? Which night?" Ye Fengyun looked bewildered.
"The night before our wedding," Tang Shihan said coldly.
Ye Fengyun recalled for a moment and replied, "I went out."
"Where did you go?" she pressed.
"We had an argument, so I went out to get some air. Is that not allowed?"
"Get some air? Heh, did you get some air at a nightclub? Did you get some air in a bedroom?" Her gaze grew increasingly frigid.
Ye Fengyun frowned. "I did go to a nightclub, but there was a reason for it. What do you mean by saying I was in a bedroom?"
"What do I mean? Then explain this photo to me." Tang Shihan pulled out the picture and threw it at his chest.
Ye Fengyun caught it, thinking to himself: Who took this secret photo? And why did they make me look so ugly?
"This was taken at the nightclub. So what?"
"Who is that woman?" Tang Shihan demanded coldly. "Ye Fengyun, we may be a contract couple, but we are still a married couple at the very least. Your infidelity is a desecration of our marriage and our contract, and it is the greatest insult to me! My life has been flawless until now, and you are the only stain upon it!"
Ye Fengyun’s temper flared. Even a clay idol has its limits, let alone a man as proud as he was.
"Tang Shihan! Get your facts straight before you speak! That woman is your cousin, Tang Anqi. She had been tricked into going to that club, and I went to save her! Otherwise, her life would have been ruined!"
Tang Shihan paused, stunned. Seeing his expression, he didn't appear to be lying. Reflecting on it, she realized she had indeed acted impulsively, jumping to conclusions based on a single photograph.
*This isn't like me,* she thought. *I’ve never been an impulsive person. Why did I lose my composure this time? Is it just because he supposedly broke the marriage contract?*
Before she could dwell on it, Ye Fengyun added, "If you don't believe me, call Tang Anqi over and we'll confront her face-to-face!"
Seeing him so resolute, Tang Shihan’s doubts began to fade. "There is no need," she replied coldly, turning to leave.
"You say there’s no need, but I say there is! Today, I am going to have her come here and clear this up!"
Fed up, Ye Fengyun grabbed her arm and dialed Tang Anqi’s number with his other hand. "Tang Anqi, come to my house. Your sister has an urgent matter to discuss with you."
Before she could answer, he hung up.
"Ye Fengyun, are you insane?" Tang Shihan snapped.
"You claimed I betrayed you, didn't you? Fine, then let's have Tang Anqi verify exactly whether or not I was 'getting some air' in a bed with your dear cousin."
Ye Fengyun had a temper, and naturally, so did Tang Shihan. Both were top-tier figures in their fields, and neither was willing to bow to the other. Thus, they stood locked in a fierce confrontation.
