Chapter 111: Assault on the Organization's Headquarters
Lin Feng listened intently to Zhao Ze’s report beside him, while the other members in the warehouse also paid close attention. They all understood the current situation and looked at Lin Feng with hopeful eyes, yearning for the war god in their hearts to give them the next directive.
At this moment, Lin Feng’s aura was steadily rising. Originally, he intended to keep a low profile on this trip—just to teach Iga Tengxiang a lesson, rescue the members of the Falcon Assault Team, and then retreat back to China. But unexpectedly, before Lin Feng could make a move, the Iga clan struck him hard, slapping him across the face. Now, Lin Feng’s momentum had reached its peak; all the killing intent he had concealed until now erupted fiercely. He no longer planned to act discreetly. Since the enemy had declared war on him, then so be it—they would make this a monumental upheaval. After all, he was disguised, and the enemy had no evidence to prove it was Lin Feng’s doing. They could not blame him or the Lin family.
“Let’s go. There’s no need to send scouts anymore. Since they want to play rough, we’ll give them a show they won’t forget. Forty of you will cause chaos wherever the Iga clan members reside. Stay safe, and only cause trouble—if their numbers overwhelm you or if experts intervene, you must retreat. Your goal is to hold them off for thirty minutes. Once time’s up, find a way to return to the homeland immediately. Do not linger on this island nation, understood?” Lin Feng’s eyes blazed as he addressed the group of forty.
“Yes, Young Master Lin!” In their hearts, they already revered Lin Feng as a deity. At his command, they responded without hesitation. The forty warriors, brimming with youthful vigor, shouted in unison, their spirits soaring to the heavens.
Lin Feng nodded approvingly and said again, “Be careful. Come back alive. I want to see you again in China. Move out!”
With Lin Feng’s order, the forty members—each equivalent to the nation’s top special forces—immediately set off. The remaining fifty or so, along with Zhao Ze, watched eagerly, waiting for their own mission.
As expected, Lin Feng did not disappoint. Rising to his feet, he looked at Zhao Ze and the others and shouted, “You will follow me and launch a direct frontal assault on the mercenary organization’s headquarters on this island nation. I want to see if that place is truly a den of dragons and tigers, whether it can hold me, Lin Feng.”
Hearing Lin Feng’s commanding declaration, everyone’s blood boiled with excitement. They shouted in unison, “Charge! Charge!” This generation held no good impression of the island nation, so the rare opportunity to make trouble there thrilled them immensely.
Zhao Ze vividly recalled the scenes from their days in the Tiger Head Gang. He trusted Lin Feng’s combat ability without doubt. Seeing Lin Feng’s unparalleled dominance now, even the usually composed Zhao Ze felt a surge of exhilaration.
The group marched in full force toward the mercenary headquarters, fortunately located in a remote suburban area. Otherwise, the sight of such a menacing group would surely terrify the island’s civilians, who might mistake it for a terrorist attack.
Somehow, the gang had procured two large buses and transported the remaining members to a spot not far from the headquarters. Once the buses stopped, everyone quickly disembarked and concealed themselves. Lin Feng led them gradually toward the headquarters’ gate.
As they neared the sentry point, Lin Feng halted and gestured for caution to those following.
Once everyone stopped and crouched quietly in the grass about two thousand meters from the headquarters, Lin Feng turned to Zhao Ze and asked, “How are you feeling? Still got strength left?”
“Young Master Lin, rest assured! I’ve recovered quite a bit and won’t hold you back!” Zhao Ze responded immediately, confident in his ability.
“Good. I’ll go in alone first. Watch the time. After ten minutes, you lead the rest in an assault. Your mission is to find our comrades who were captured before, as well as members of the Falcon Assault Team. You studied the details last night, remember: alive, bring them back; dead, bring the bodies. Understood?” Lin Feng reiterated.
Before Zhao Ze could reply, Lin Feng’s figure had already flickered a hundred meters away, swiftly approaching the headquarters’ gate.
The closer he got, the less time the guards outside had to react. Before they could even notice him, Lin Feng appeared before them.
The guards at the gate looked as if they had seen a ghost when Lin Feng suddenly materialized before them. Two of them stepped forward to question his identity.
Lin Feng watched as one guard slowly approached with a pistol in hand. At that moment, a mysterious smile curled on Lin Feng’s lips—a smile known to those familiar with him as the smile of the Grim Reaper.
The internal energy from his Dantian surged forth explosively. Having advanced to the first level of his martial cultivation, Lin Feng felt his inner energy was now more controlled and potent. The energy coursed through his veins, converging in his hands and manifesting as invisible blades.
Holding these invisible blades, Lin Feng’s ghostlike speed reappeared as he struck at the approaching guards.
In Yanjing, Lin Feng had once slaughtered over a hundred Tiger Head Gang members without a flicker of emotion; killing these island mercenaries only fueled his hatred further. With the aid of his invisible blades and phantom speed, none of the guards or sentries at the gate managed to raise an alarm. All fell, their bodies severed, blood pooling into a crimson river.
The trainees watching from afar, except for Zhao Ze who had witnessed Lin Feng’s prowess before, had only heard from their instructors Sun Long and Zhao Ze about Lin Feng’s might. Now seeing him in action, they realized he was even stronger than they had imagined. The bloody scene stirred their excitement rather than fear. They wished they could be the ones on the battlefield, inspired to train harder and strive to reach even a fraction of Lin Feng’s level, eager to follow his lead.
After slaughtering the gate guards, Lin Feng destroyed the surveillance system and cut off the main power and communication lines before storming into the headquarters hall.
Outside, Zhao Ze anxiously checked his watch, eyes fixed on the ticking second hand, silently urging, “Hurry, move faster, faster!”
Just as his patience neared its limit, the second hand hit the twelve—the ten minutes were up.
Zhao Ze leapt to his feet and shouted to the restless trainees behind him, “Charge! Grab the weapons on the ground and follow Young Master Lin’s pace! Don’t let him fight alone—we’re with him!” Watching Lin Feng battle alone had stirred not only the trainees but also Zhao Ze himself, whose eyes now gleamed with a fierce killing intent.
As Zhao Ze and the others burst through the headquarters’ gate, he shouted, “Quick, find our captured brothers and the seven compatriots who speak Chinese. Kill all other islanders on sight! Regroup in the main hall once you find them.”
The dozens who rushed in immediately split into teams of six to search. Along the way, they passed bodies of the mercenaries Lin Feng had slain. Any survivors or stragglers were swiftly cut down by the Dragon Soaring Gang members. While they might hesitate to kill fellow Chinese, they showed no mercy to the islanders.
Meanwhile, Lin Feng cut a path through without resistance until he reached the inner sanctum, where a dozen top-tier mercenaries surrounded him. These were the organization’s elite fighters, including Iga Tengxiang herself.
“You finally show yourself!” Lin Feng grinned at her, his blood-soaked form adorned with fragments of entrails and flesh, appearing like a demon from hell.
“You... you devil!” Iga Tengxiang was shaken by Lin Feng’s ghastly appearance. Though she had killed before, often even, she had never seen Lin Feng look like this—so fierce, so terrifying.
“Hahaha, you shouldn’t have touched my people. Today, I’m here to claim your life!” Lin Feng laughed heartily, ignoring her words.
Iga Tengxiang felt a chill run down her spine under Lin Feng’s gaze. She didn’t even dare to attack him. If there were a way to turn back time, she would never have provoked him. But there was no such thing as regret medicine in this world.
“Baka! Kill the devil!” Iga Tengxiang hadn’t spoken yet, but the surrounding elite mercenaries couldn’t contain themselves. An older man in black cursed venomously at Lin Feng.
Though Lin Feng didn’t understand the island language, he knew “baka” meant “idiot.” Spitting toward the black-clad man, he retorted, “Baka, I baka your whole family!”
The internal energy in his Dantian surged relentlessly through his meridians. The invisible blades in his hands seemed even sharper. Before the surrounding mercenaries could strike, Lin Feng could no longer contain his murderous aura. He swung his dual blades and spun on the spot.
With ghostlike speed and the blade energy whirling like wheels of fire and wind, Lin Feng swept through the attackers.
This technique wasn’t part of the Human Emperor’s martial arts manual. It was a sudden inspiration Lin Feng devised to counter being besieged by multiple enemies—and it worked remarkably well.
The mercenaries, unaccustomed to such an unusual attack, were caught off guard. Four failed to react in time and were sliced in half at the waist, their intestines and organs spilling onto the ground.
