After seeing his parents off, Su Yifan stepped out of his room, intent on setting up a Spirit Gathering Array within the mansion. The spiritual energy in this world was far too sparse. Previously, as the sole practitioner and with his cultivation having reached a considerable level, even a Spirit Gathering Array would have limited effect. But things were different now. His parents had just begun their cultivation journey and needed the optimal environment to progress efficiently. With such a setup, their training would be vastly more effective.

Without hesitation, Su Yifan soared above the Su estate. After careful study, he determined the precise positions needed. In the next moment, he flicked his hand, sending eighteen spirit stones flying. They landed at eighteen designated points around the estate. With that done, he quickly formed hand seals. Moments later, a complete, compact formation appeared before him.

“Activate!” Su Yifan commanded softly, pointing his finger to deploy the array. In an instant, a white light shimmered across the formation, rapidly expanding until it enveloped the entire Su residence. Within mere breaths, the array became one with the estate.

Exhaling deeply, Su Yifan murmured, “It’s been a while since I last arranged an array… I’m a bit rusty.” Having completed the setup, he descended to the ground, ready to return to his room for rest.

Just then, Su Yifan sensed two figures rapidly approaching from about two hundred meters away. At first, he paid little attention. Soon, however, he detected a fierce murderous intent emanating from them.

What’s going on? Could they be remnants from the Shadow Flow Sect? Unable to ascertain, Su Yifan decided not to dwell on it and vanished from sight in an instant.

Meanwhile, outside the main gate of the Su estate, two figures appeared.

They were two foreign middle-aged men with blond hair and blue eyes.

“Just as expected from a third-rate family—no guards at all,” said the one named Peter, dressed in denim and wearing black sunglasses.

“Let’s move quickly, just in case,” the other, named Joe, said grimly, his hands wrapped in red bandages and his gaze ruthless.

“Alright, let’s just break in by force,” Peter said, stepping forward with three quick strides and delivering a powerful punch to the estate’s gate.

At that moment, four figures appeared outside the gate—Su estate’s four guards.

“Who dares cause trouble at the Su family?!” they shouted.

“Four weaklings, you’re asking for death!” Peter didn’t stop, throwing a punch at the four.

As they drew closer, the guards sensed the overwhelming aura of a Grandmaster-level cultivator. Compared to such power, they were like ants, unable to resist and forced to endure the assault.

“Boom!”

Peter’s punch was suddenly caught. Looking up, he saw a young face before him.

“Young master!” The four guards were visibly moved upon seeing their young master.

“Stand back,” Su Yifan commanded.

Obediently, the four guards retreated.

Peter finally got a clear look at the young man and was stunned.

“It’s… you.”

“You know me?” Su Yifan frowned slightly, surprised to see these foreigners recognize him. It was the first time he’d met them.

“We’re here to kill you,” Peter said coldly.

He tried to pull his hand back but found it completely immobilized.

“Why do you want to kill me?” Su Yifan asked.

“That’s none of your concern. Just prepare to die!” Peter said, drawing a sharp dagger from his waist and aiming it at Su Yifan’s head.

“Clang!”

A crisp sound rang out as the dagger shattered into pieces and fell to the ground.

“What? How is that possible?!” Peter was shocked. Was this man’s head made of iron? His dagger was forged from refined steel, yet it couldn’t even pierce the scalp and instead broke.

Realizing something was amiss, Peter shouted to Joe behind him, “What the hell are you doing? Come help!”

Joe, sensing the abnormality, didn’t hesitate and launched a punch at Su Yifan.

“If you won’t talk, then you can die,” Su Yifan said, releasing Peter’s hand and slapping him hard.

“Bang!”

Peter was instantly pulverized into a cloud of blood mist, drifting away in the wind.

The four guards behind watched in awe and shame.

As protectors of the Su family, they felt they never truly contributed; every time, it was the young master who saved them.

Across from them, Joe, stunned by the scene, was dumbfounded.

What the hell was going on? Wasn’t this supposed to be a third-rate family? How could someone this powerful exist here?

Seeing Joe dazed, Su Yifan instantly teleported before him and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him up.

“Soul searching technique!”

Without wasting any words, Su Yifan began probing Joe’s memories.

After a short while, the search ended, and Su Yifan extracted a vial of green serum from him.

Then—

“Bang!”

With a slight squeeze, Su Yifan crushed it into a blood mist.

“Gene serum,” he muttered, examining it briefly but gaining no further insight.

Though he couldn’t discern much, from Joe’s memories, Su Yifan learned it was a serum designed to awaken human genetic potential. Supposedly, after injection, it could greatly alter the recipient’s genes and unlock latent abilities.

These two had come to kill him because someone had given them these gene serums as a reward.

“Foreigners really like tinkering with this trash. Instead of cultivating properly, they try to use these things to boost their strength quickly,” Su Yifan shook his head and murmured.

Gene serums might unlock potential but depended on the recipient’s tolerance. An inability to withstand it could mean death. Even if successful, the recipient’s martial path would be severed because the serum damaged their meridians, making further progress impossible.

That was the inherent flaw of gene serums.

Yet, despite this, many abroad still pursued them fervently.

“Trash like this only harms people if kept around.”

Su Yifan was about to destroy the serum when suddenly he thought it might be useful to the Dragon Group.

With that in mind, he tossed the serum to one of the guards.

“Take this to the Martial Alliance.”

“Yes, young master,” the guard replied, leaving immediately for the Martial Alliance.

“Clean up here,” Su Yifan ordered, then turned and walked back inside the estate.
