Chapter 81: Brother Kun Has Truly Lost His Temper (Third Update)
“Husband, you know that Li’er was born beautiful, and to avoid trouble, she has always kept to herself, not wanting her future husband to misunderstand her.”
Ye Kun thought to himself, If I, Brother Kun, believed that, then tigers and eagles might as well climb trees together.
“Yan Mu’er! Explain yourself! Are the words you said that night still valid or not?” Tong Ge was about to explode, feeling utterly deceived in matters of the heart!
He had concealed the truth from everyone for today’s elopement, taking on such risk, only to see her calling another man sweetly as husband and denying their relationship.
“Husband, look, he’s just trying to sow discord between us. So mean~”
Hearing this, Tong Ge suddenly switched from rage to laughter. “Hahaha! ‘Two wingless birds, yet hearts joined as one’—that was what Mu’er once wrote for me! Yet today you turn your back on me!”
Ye Yushu sighed softly. That phrase, I suspect, was not meant for you alone. Now that she’s found someone she likes, she’s cut you off.
Tsk, tsk…
Ye Kun watched Tong Ge laughing hysterically, suddenly feeling like the villain from some storyteller’s tale.
The transformation from victim to aggressor was too swift; Ye Kun covered his forehead, realizing that what he feared had indeed come to pass…
As I’ve said, even if Brother Kun stands perfectly still, his opponents will end up in a tragic state. Look at him… the wounds to his spirit must be profound.
Being deceived by a woman is a painful experience; Brother Kun knows it well, so even with these two wives at his side, he never fully trusts them.
“You wretched woman! I’ll cut you to pieces today!” Tong Ge had lost all reason, drawing his sword from his waist and swinging it directly at Yan Mu’er, his gaze as ferocious as if seeing his father’s murderer.
Men betrayed by women are prone to losing control—Tong Ge was a prime example.
Ye Kun’s brows furrowed. No matter what, Mu’er is Brother Kun’s woman, and to hear such vile insults was intolerable!
If not for the bridal veil, everyone would have seen the sinister look on Yan Mu’er’s face, for she was now harboring murderous intent.
Yet Ye Kun pulled Yan Mu’er behind him, shielding her, the evil force within him roaring, barely kept in check by another gentler force within. If not for that restraint, Brother Kun would have smashed Tong Ge with a punch.
Though Ye Kun kept himself under control, a trace of his power leaked out. Those with weaker cultivation might not notice, but Ye Ming and Dongmen Meng sensed it, as did Ye Li and Yan Mu’er, even Zhang Tiantian and Xiao Ling.
His parents recalled how, years ago, Ye Kun suddenly refused to attend the academy, causing them to wonder, for he’d always wanted to go before. Now, with that brief surge, they understood—something had changed in their son.
It must be related to the Misty Forest.
Kun Kun’s silence had its reasons; as parents, one must understand their child.
Now Ye Li and Yan Mu’er realized why the bald one could eat their soup unharmed—it turned out he was pretending all along!
He possessed such formidable strength, and never revealed it… how could anyone be honest with him?
But wait, they suffered greatly after eating the soup, yet he was completely fine. Could it be… he’s even more powerful than they are?
That was not good news.
The two girls began plotting in their hearts—how could they put Brother Kun in his place?
Seeing the sharp blade flash, they were suddenly inspired.
“Husband, be careful!” Ye Li and Yan Mu’er dragged Ye Kun behind them, determined to defend their husband to the death.
But Ye Qin was even faster.
“Brother, watch out!”
Yan Mu’er and Ye Li looked at Ye Qin before them, wondering what strange quirks these two brothers possessed.
Clang!
Ye Qin drew his sword quickly, his gaze focused! The blade flashed with a silvery light!
However, Tong Ge was a sword master, while Ye Qin had just advanced to swordsman—there was a significant gap in strength.
But Ye Qin had been trained by Ye Kun. Though not yet a sword master, he could contend with an ordinary one, especially since as a child he’d consumed many elixirs, making him more than capable.
With a clang, the two swords collided, sparks flying—neither gained the upper hand!
Ye Yushu frowned slightly; judging by age, Ye Qin was much younger than himself, yet already matched Tong Ge in battle. Remarkable!
Moreover, he was the son of the younger uncle. He would surely be a formidable figure in the future!
Ye Ming and Dongmen Meng were shocked as well—Qin Qin could fight evenly with the opponent, truly their son.
If Qin Qin knew that, among his family, everyone was invincible except him who needed to cultivate, who knows what he would think.
“If you dare harm a single hair on him, your whole family will lose their heads!” Ye Yushu seized the moment, barking coldly.
The Ye family ignored this threat—it hardly counted as one.
Ye Kun held back the eager Ye Qin, then addressed Ye Yushu, “Wearing a golden crown—he’s connected to the royal family.”
“Hmph, you bald one, you know quite a bit. He’s from the Tong family; his aunt is the current Imperial Concubine Tong! You cannot afford to offend him!”
Tong Ge, sword in hand, stared fiercely at Yan Mu’er. Hearing Ye Yushu’s words, he felt a little better inside!
You lowly people!
“And who are you?” Ye Kun asked in a deep voice, his two internal forces beginning to wrestle again.
“Me? Hah… I am from the Ye family of Taijing! Ye Yushu! You night family degenerates, what right do you have to live in this world!” Ye Yushu cursed with relish, having wanted to do so for ages.
A violent energy surged from Ye Kun; say what you will about me, but never about my parents!
They raised and nurtured me—worth more than birth parents a thousand times over!
“Tell me, do you deserve to die?” Ye Kun had no qualms about shedding blood at his own wedding; his urge to kill Ye Yushu now surpassed even that for Tong Ge.
Ye Yushu sneered, “Me? Deserve to die? Even if your whole family perished, I’d live just fine!”
“Step aside!” Ye Kun said coldly.
Yan Mu’er and Ye Li froze, then moved to stand aside, suddenly finding the bald one exuding an aura of true masculinity.
“Brother.” Ye Qin was still worried; the adversary’s background was formidable.
“Brother, just watch.”
Ye Qin glanced at his parents, saw they weren’t intervening, and stood to the side.
Descending from the wedding platform, Ye Kun said calmly to Tong Ge, “We’ll settle this later. Don’t rush; matters must be handled one at a time.”
When Brother Kun loses his temper, not even the Jade Emperor could stop him!
Watching Ye Kun approach with a darkened expression, Ye Yushu didn’t care at all—just a bald one, he could handle ten of them with one hand.
