Chapter 131: Run, Little Brother!
“Brother?” Although Ye Qin was tipsy, he subconsciously sought his brother’s approval.
“Go on, go on, but be quick,” Ye Kun said with a helpless sigh. His younger brother was growing up; he hoped that after tonight, he might finally step out of the shadows.
Ziyan giggled coquettishly, “Young master, this isn't something one can rush~”
Ye Kun and Wu Chi felt their faces flush. This Miss Ziyan really had no sense of restraint. As they watched Ye Qin being guided into the room behind them by Ziyan, Ye Kun and Wu Chi were left with no choice but to sit outside and wait.
“This Huaxiang Pavilion is certainly thoughtful, even arranging rooms in the back. Tsk, tsk, tsk.”
“Are you married?” Wu Chi asked with a grin, sipping his Huadiao wine.
Ye Kun sat beside him, drinking as well. Since he had already taken the plunge, there was no point in holding back. “I am, I married two.”
Pfft!
Wu Chi spat out his wine. He had assumed Ye Kun was unmarried and had been planning to give him some advice on how to woo women. He had seen Ye Qin’s state and thought he’d help, but he never expected this fellow to have already married two.
Without a word, he could only offer a thumbs-up to show his respect.
“Are you young masters having a good time?” The procuress pushed the door open and entered with a fawning smile, followed by a young woman holding a brocade box.
Ye Kun set down his wine and smiled. “We are.”
The woman placed the box on the table. Ye Kun opened it to reveal a brass key. It felt quite heavy in his hand.
“Young master, about the bill?”
Ye Kun shook his head. “The bill? I don’t have any money.”
The procuress was stunned. Wu Chi, sitting nearby, was even more dumbfounded!
The procuress suddenly let out a laugh. “Young master, you’re joking. You almost had me fooled.”
“I’m serious, I have no money.” Ye Kun tucked the key away securely, looking as if he were about to bolt.
Wu Chi couldn't sit still anymore. He hurried to Ye Kun’s side. “Brother Kun! I’ll call you Brother Kun, okay? Stop messing around and settle the bill.”
“Teacher, didn't you just say I wasn't impulsive enough? Look, isn't your student being quite impulsive now?” Ye Kun was getting a bit muddled; he didn't even know what he was saying.
Wu Chi: “……”
“Brother Kun! You’ve misunderstood your teacher! Impulsiveness depends on the situation and the occasion. This is definitely not the time to be impulsive!” Wu Chi was on the verge of tears.
“*Hic*—” Ye Kun exhaled a puff of alcoholic fumes that could have knocked someone out; it was as potent as a dragon’s breath. “How did you teach us, Teacher? One must be a person of integrity.”
Ye Kun shook his head and leaned slightly over the railing, looking down at the main hall.
Suddenly!
Ye Kun caught sight of a woman in white. Why did she look so familiar?
He rubbed his eyes, and when he saw her clearly, he was so terrified he nearly lost his wits, his intoxication fading by more than half. He ducked his head down instantly and, without a second thought, charged into the room behind him.
“Brother! Run! Mother is here to catch us!!!!!!!”
My brother Qin had his pants halfway down, and you tell me Mother is here!
Dammit!
Hearing the word “Mother,” Ye Qin’s head cleared instantly. He pulled up his trousers and shouted, “Brother! What do we do!”
“Jump out the window!”
Ye Kun led the way, and Ye Qin followed, both leaping out the window.
On the bed, Ziyan suddenly revealed a wicked smile and whispered, “Interesting children.”
Meanwhile, Wu Chi was left in a state of utter confusion. *You two little bastards, you’ve ruined me!*
The procuress’s face changed instantly. “Wu Chi!”
“How did I get here? Wasn't I guarding the front door? Where are my clothes… oh, how annoying…”
“Wu Chi! You can stay here and work for the rest of your life to pay off the debt!” The procuress’s shrill voice was enough to shatter eardrums.
On the other side, the brothers Ye Kun and Ye Qin had jumped down from the Huaxiang Pavilion. Jumping from such a height usually risked hitting someone, and the unlucky soul below would inevitably be crushed.
For instance, a bearded man was walking out happily, having not gone more than a few steps.
*Thud.*
His head rang, and something he was carrying in his arms fell out.
“Brother, it didn't even hurt to jump from that high.”
“Yeah, Brother, that’s so strange.”
“I’m going to beat the hell out of you two little brats!” The man couldn't take it anymore.
When Ye Kun and Ye Qin heard the voice, they froze.
“Father?”
The man was startled, almost dropping his long beard. “I am not your father.”
He quickly stood up to retrieve the fallen object, which was wrapped in white cloth—long and round. However, just as he reached for it, a fair, slender hand grabbed it first.
Ye Kun and Ye Qin took one look, quickly smeared some dust on their faces, and thought, *We are dead tonight…*
The man looked up at the woman and subconsciously recoiled in terror. “I… I forgot to lock the house door, I should go check…”
“My husband taking his sons to a brothel—this has truly opened my eyes!!!!!!” Dongmen Meng said coldly.
After the brothers left, their father had said he was going to keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't get into trouble. The more Dongmen Meng thought about it, the more suspicious it felt, so she came out to look for them. When she entered this nearby Huaxiang Pavilion, she looked up and saw little Kun. Now that she had come down to find him, she had actually run into her husband, too. And oh, there was little Qin as well. Not bad at all.
“Miss, you’ve mistaken me for someone else. I’ll be going now.” Ye Ming didn't even want his belongings; he had to escape. *Those two little brats! How can they be so infuriating? Their father is in such a state, and they still come to sabotage him!*
“Go ahead, and don't you ever come back!” Dongmen Meng shouted coldly, not joking in the slightest.
Ye Ming stopped dead in his tracks and turned with a smile. “Little Meng, you caught me. I was just passing by.”
As soon as Ye Ming finished speaking, the procuress ran out. “Congratulations, sir, on acquiring the sword hilt! I hope you had a good time, and thank you so much for helping us catch these two troublemakers.”
Ye Ming rolled his eyes. *You old hag! I am never coming to your shop again!*
Dongmen Meng let out a chilling, dainty laugh. “My husband helping others catch his own sons, and the sons turning out to be troublemakers… Heavens… have I missed some good drama?”
The procuress finally understood; they were all one family, and a wealthy one at that.
“My deepest apologies! I didn't realize the two young masters were just joking. Oh my, you scared me to death!” The procuress’s display of charm was enough to make everyone around her nauseous.
Dongmen Meng smiled slightly. “Procuress, what did these two young masters do inside?”
Ye Kun coughed lightly.
The procuress understood perfectly. These two boys had snuck out for some fun and happened to run into their father, who was also in disguise. This family certainly had many stories. However, the young masters needn't worry; when running a business, one must have integrity, and protecting a guest's privacy was a must. Even for all the gold in the world, she wouldn't betray her customers.
Dongmen Meng said in a deep voice, “Procuress, tell the truth, or you won’t get a single coin.”
The procuress gave an apologetic look. When choosing between integrity and money, she chose money without hesitation.
“This young master called for our top courtesan, Ziyan, for ten thousand gold coins,” the procuress said, pointing at Ye Qin.
Ye Qin felt utterly humiliated; his image in his mother’s heart had completely collapsed.
