Xu Si was chewing when she suddenly noticed a fuzzy clump on the meat. After spitting it out, she saw it had fine fur and didn’t look like ordinary meat at all.

“Good girl, does this rabbit meat taste good?” Her mother stretched her neck long, meeting Xu Si’s gaze directly.

“It’s… it’s good…” Xu Si swallowed nervously.

“Big sister, you ate rabbit meat, hehehe!” Her brother’s sharp voice pierced her ears as he reached out and patted the back of her hand, drool dripping down with his palm.

“Hehe… hehe… she’s going to be heartbroken now, hehe… hehe…” Grandma and Mom exchanged a knowing smile, their expressions growing eerily sinister.

Suddenly, Xu Si’s thoughts cleared.

It was rabbit meat—the daughter had mentioned it in her diary; Mom had sent the rabbit to a “beautiful place.”

But below, it was written: The meat wasn’t properly skinned today.

At first, she hadn’t understood why the diary contradicted the rules, but now it made sense.

No wonder the sixth rule was:

“Mom dislikes small animals. If you find any in your room, quickly disassociate yourself from them.”

If she got caught, another beating was inevitable.

This was utterly cruel.

How could a family butcher their daughter’s pet and then shamelessly ask if it tasted good?

Xu Si silently lowered her head and continued eating, while Mom and Grandma looked at her triumphantly, as if they had won a battle.

“Time to watch TV, you annoying big sister!” Her brother stuck out his tongue, grabbing Grandma’s hand as they headed to the sofa.

Mom cleared the dishes while calling out to Xu Si, “Finish eating and go back to your room to study. Don’t waste your time!”

Xu Si turned and returned to her room, sitting at her desk without daring to move, pretending to read. Half an hour passed like this, and just as she was drifting off to sleep—

A sharp scream came from outside her door: “Are you even studying properly? If I’d known you’d be this useless, I should have strangled you!”

Startled, Xu Si jolted and slid off her chair. Rubbing her sore backside, she slowly got up—it hurt like hell!

“I finished my homework. I just wanted to read in the study for a while…” Her survival instinct forced her to answer despite the pain.

If she went to the study to study, Mom shouldn’t have a reason to refuse, right? But there was no response outside; it seemed Mom had walked away.

After a moment, Mom’s faint voice came: “Fine, you can go, but you can only study in there!”

Her tone carried a hint of reluctance. Xu Si decisively opened the door.

Mom’s face was etched with unwillingness, her eyes fixed intently on Xu Si as she watched her enter the study.

Xu Si stood in the center of the study, surrounded on all sides by walls of books. She pondered the meaning behind Mom’s words that she could only study in the study.

Could there be some unspeakable secret hidden inside?

The little fairy searched diligently but found nothing. Xu Si pinched the bridge of her nose and scanned the shelves.

A book titled Nonviolent Communication caught Xu Si’s eye and drew her attention.

Its placement suggested it was often read. She took the book down and flipped through it.

The remaining rules appeared!

Family Survival Rules (Part Two)

11. Grandpa is pitiable but also detestable. You may care about Grandpa, but do not give him money.

12. When Mom angrily criticizes Dad, try not to respond; otherwise, bear the consequences yourself.

13. Maintain silence late at night. Do not leave your room. If you must, do not let anyone know you are still awake.

14. Trust no one in the family; the only person you can rely on is yourself.

15. Suicide will not free you from the rules. If you fail to die, you will become the sinner of the entire scenario and remain trapped until death.

Xu Si stared at the three rules clenched in her hand, trying to piece together a complete story but to no avail.

Her head suddenly felt dizzy. Slumping in her chair, she continued to stare at the rules. It said suicide couldn’t end the scenario, but which player would choose suicide to clear it?
