Yang Chengze spoke softly, “Tuan Tuan, it’s all my fault for being late and causing you to suffer. Two years ago, you were taken away by some bad people. Mom, Dad, and your brothers have all been searching for you tirelessly, and today we finally found you.”

Although only three and a half years old, Tuan Tuan understood. She had a family now, and brothers.

She recalled what Xiaomei had told her—that her brothers would soon come to take her home, and she just needed to hold on a little longer.

Even with her brothers right in front of her, little Tuan Tuan still felt uncertain.

She timidly asked, “I… I have a mom and dad too? You won’t sell me to someone else again, will you?”

Yang Chengze controlled his emotions and gently reassured her, “Little sister, you’re truly our sister. We love you so much; how could we ever sell you? When Dad comes, he will be overjoyed to see you.”

The second brother quickly chimed in, “Sister, we’re here to bring you home.”

Tuan Tuan, nervous and timid, asked again, “If I go with you, you won’t sell me again, right?”

Her brothers were shocked. Damn those human traffickers!

The little girl, afraid she’d be sold again, hurriedly said, “I can wash your clothes, I can mop the floor, and I can cook…”

Her brothers were furious. Damn those despicable traffickers!

Seeing their silence, Tuan Tuan’s eyes reddened, brimming with tears, anxious and tense. “I don’t eat much either…”

Her brothers were utterly heartbroken.

Looking at this little bundle of innocence staring so timidly, their hearts melted.

When no one replied, the clear, sparkling tears slid down Tuan Tuan’s cheeks. “Really, I can wash your clothes, I can wash the dishes, I can cook… as long as you don’t hit me, I can do any chores.”

Her simple words almost brought her brothers to tears.

What kind of life had she endured back in Xiaoxigou?

Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan were utterly despicable to torment such a small child—shameless!

Yang Chengze fought back tears and spoke tenderly, “Tuan Tuan, you’re our little princess. We all love you dearly. We wouldn’t harm a single hair on your head. If anyone dares bully you, your brothers will never let that person off!”

Fourth brother Yang Junjie looked at his three-and-a-half-year-old sister, trembling with unease. His fiery temper was about to unleash as he imagined tearing some poor soul apart to protect her!

Tuan Tuan gazed at the caring eyes of her five brothers, feeling as if she were dreaming. She actually had brothers, a real family—it was beyond belief.

Her stomach grumbled. She was hungry.

Yang Chengze brought over a bowl of millet porridge, his delicate features paired with a gentle smile, like sunlight illuminating Tuan Tuan’s life.

“Sister, drink some porridge first. The doctor said your stomach has been empty too long, so you can’t eat too much at once. Here, let big brother feed you.”

Second brother Yang Qixiu immediately snatched the bowl, “Big brother, you’re a CEO; you’re usually taken care of by others. How would you understand how tedious it is to care for a young child? I’m a doctor, so I should be the one to take care of her.”

Third brother Yang Suiyi glanced at Yang Qixiu casually, “Second brother, you’re a surgeon, not a pediatrician. Leave it to me; I’m the best at taking care of people. My fans say I’m a warm-hearted man, the perfect national husband.”

Fourth brother Yang Boyu was about to intervene when the quick-handed Yang Junjie beat him to it, “Fourth brother, you’re a martial arts champion. You’re always fighting, but do you know how to take care of someone? You’re always the one being taken care of. Leave it to me; I’m the youngest brother, so there’s no generation gap between me and little sister.”

Tuan Tuan watched the five brothers almost come to blows over who would feed her, utterly stunned.

Is this what they call care?

She had been sick before, but Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan beat and scolded her angrily, calling her a waste of money, a sickly child, a jinx, refusing to take her to the doctor and forcing her to endure on her own.

No one had ever fed her when she was ill.

Watching the brothers still competing to feed her, she softly said, “I can eat by myself.”

Hearing her gentle voice, the brothers felt their hearts break.

This child was still wary of strangers, unable to open her heart to them.

Yang Chengze took the bowl back and lifted the lid.

“Tuan Tuan, let big brother feed you. The bowl and spoon are too heavy. You might burn yourself.”

His eyes were sincere, filled with deep concern and hope, wishing his sister would give him a chance.

Meeting his hopeful gaze, and seeing the large bowl she really couldn’t carry, Tuan Tuan nodded cautiously. Yang Chengze smiled.

The other brothers were silent in envy.

The task of feeding their little sister had fallen to Yang Chengze, and the others looked on with admiration and jealousy.

Seeing their sister begin to relax, the brothers stopped competing and watched quietly as Yang Chengze fed Tuan Tuan the porridge.

For the first time, Tuan Tuan tasted the soft, fragrant, sweet millet porridge—it was delicious, and she finished the whole bowl in one go.

Yang Chengze set the bowl aside and affectionately said, “Tuan Tuan, eat some porridge first and get used to it. In a few hours, big brother will buy you other tasty food.”

Fourth brother Yang Boyu squeezed closer, holding Tuan Tuan’s small rough hand with great tenderness. “Tuan Tuan, from now on, with us around, no one will ever bully you again!”

Yang Junjie quickly added, “Tuan Tuan, my kung fu is strong! I beat up Zhao Guihua and Gou Dashan so badly they can’t get up even now.”

Yang Boyu protested, “Fifth brother, you’re only fifteen. How can you be stronger than me? I’m a martial arts champion; I can take on ten at once!”

Hearing the word “beat,” Tuan Tuan trembled all over in fear.

The other three brothers all stared at each other sharply, making Yang Junjie and Yang Boyu’s legs go weak.

Looking at the little trembling Tuan Tuan, the two brothers burst into smiles.

Yang Boyu gave a flattering grin and patted his chest. “Sister, we mean to fight the bad guys! You’re so sweet and sensible, and we will protect you.”

Yang Junjie switched to the big brother mode, expressing concern and love, letting Tuan Tuan feel the warmth from her brothers.

He knelt by her bed, eyes full of care, speaking sincerely and seriously, “Tuan Tuan, my fists are only for bad people. I will never hurt you. You’re my sister, and I will always protect you, never letting anyone bully you.”

Looking into the caring eyes of her five brothers, Tuan Tuan’s resistance was not as strong as before, but distrust still lingered. She couldn’t believe these people would truly be so kind to her.

Tears filled her eyes. She pressed her lips together, her voice hoarse. “But they all said I’m a jinx, that I bring bad luck to others.”

“Nonsense!” Yang Chengze clenched his fists, struggling to suppress his murderous impulse.

He deeply regretted not trusting that dream sooner. Now, could he ask Tuan Tuan about that dream?
