Yang Jinchuan held Tuan Tuan, checking to see if she was hurt.

“Daddy, Tuan Tuan is fine. Tuan Tuan isn’t hurt, so don’t worry,” the little darling reassured him, soothing Yang Jinchuan’s anxious heart.

See, it’s still his daughter—well-behaved and sensible, deserving of all the love.

Meeting Tuan Tuan’s concerned gaze, Yang Jinchuan still felt a lingering fear as he held her close.

It seemed he would have to instruct the family bodyguards never to let Yang Ling inside again!

Old Master Yang and Wan Yunzhi were also filled with guilt. After all, Yang Ling was their daughter, and as parents, it was their fault for failing to teach her properly.

Old Master Yang sighed deeply and spoke slowly, “Tuan Tuan, it’s grandpa who failed to teach her well. She won’t be allowed to come here anymore.”

“Grandpa, it’s not your fault. Auntie is ill, and she didn’t mean to lose her temper. So Tuan Tuan isn’t upset,” she replied.

Old Master Yang couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

This child was truly impossible not to adore.

Tuan Tuan’s small hand rested on Yang Jinchuan’s brow, her voice soft and sweet as she comforted him, “Daddy, don’t be angry. When you’re mad, you’re not handsome.”

Yang Jinchuan’s mood brightened instantly. Watching his daughter comfort him, he recalled something Yang Ling had said.

He held Tuan Tuan carefully and spoke seriously, “Tuan Tuan, don’t listen to Auntie’s nonsense. Your mother died because she was ill, not because of you. Everyone gets sick sometimes, and some illnesses are so severe they take a person’s life. So, Tuan Tuan, none of this is your fault. It’s Daddy’s fault—I didn’t protect Mommy or you well enough.”

At that moment, the little girl’s heart opened completely to her father.

She hadn’t expected him to understand her thoughts or to be afraid she’d blame herself, so he explained everything so gently.

Tuan Tuan’s eyes glistened with tears, pure and free of any impurity.

“Daddy…” she whispered, leaning on his chest as tears quietly fell.

Sobbing softly… Daddy really was the best dad in the world!

From now on, she had a father too!

Yang Jinchuan was deeply moved. Holding his daughter, he gently patted her back, silently comforting the little one.

Old Master Yang and Wan Yunzhi watched with moist eyes, equally touched.

Tuan Tuan was no jinx; she was clearly the family’s little treasure.

...

After returning, Yang Jinchuan had no plans to go out again. He stayed with Tuan Tuan in the garden, playing and taking videos to send to his sons.

In the family chat group, a video of Tuan Tuan running quickly caught the attention of her older brothers.

Yang Chengze: “I’m getting off work soon and will come home to be with my sister!”

Yang Qixiu: “I’m off work now, heading home to keep her company!”

Yang Suiyi: “Damn, I have a late-night show tonight. I can’t make it!”

Yang Boyu, Yang Junjie, and Sixth Brother Yang Yu were in class and hadn’t seen the messages yet.

Yang Jinchuan finished filming, smiling as he looked at little Tuan Tuan riding her bike nearby. He snapped more photos, proudly sharing them in the group.

His phone rang—it was the private detective calling. Yang Jinchuan hurriedly answered.

Nearby, Tuan Tuan stopped and stared blankly at a patch of soil in the garden’s corner.

Xiaomei floated out from the pendant, hovering beside Tuan Tuan, her gaze fixed on the same patch of earth.

“What are you looking at, sweetheart?” Xiaomei asked.

Tuan Tuan looked up, nodded at Xiaomei, and pointed at the dirt. “This soil looks like the kind from Xiaoxigou Mountain. It’s perfect for planting Chinese cabbage. I want to grow vegetables here, but I don’t know how.”

Xiaomei smiled indulgently. “That’s easy. I’ll hire a worker for you.”

A worker?

Tuan Tuan looked stunned, her innocent and soft expression making Xiaomei want to reach out and pet her.

But she couldn’t touch Tuan Tuan—she could only pass through her body.

Muttering a spell, Xiaomei summoned the ugly ghost they had met in the woods earlier.

The ghost was furious at being called over but dared not say a word.

Powerless, she had no choice but to hold it in.

“Hey, Little Tuanzi, what do you want me to do?”

Xiaomei pointed at the soil. “At night, when no one’s around, dig up this patch of land. Tuan Tuan wants to plant some Chinese cabbage.”

The ghost grumbled, “I’m a spirit without a physical form. How can I dig?”

Xiaomei glanced at the nearby tools. “Then possess the shovel. That way, you can dig. Even as a ghost, you have to be useful. Otherwise, I won’t help you get revenge.”

The ghost was shocked.

She was a ghost, not a tool!

But for revenge, her tone softened. She quickly nodded, “I love digging. Digging is my favorite. Leave this to me!”

Satisfied, Xiaomei nodded. Tuan Tuan frowned at the ghost’s forced smile. “You smile so ugly.”

The ghost was speechless.

Xiaomei said, “You’re so ugly, you better disappear quickly. Don’t scare the little one.”

The ghost gave Xiaomei a resentful glance before vanishing into the shade.

“Xiaomei, you’re helping her get revenge? Against whom?”

Xiaomei looked toward the direction of the detached villa, a sinister smile playing on her lips. “Of course, against the murderer. This Ai Xin isn’t an ordinary person. I want to snoop around her house, but there are restrictions I haven’t figured out how to bypass yet.”

If only Tuan Tuan could go once, but Xiaomei worried Ai Xin might harm her.

Just as Tuan Tuan was about to ask more, Yang Jinchuan approached. “Tuan Tuan, let’s go back for dinner. Your Sixth Brother is coming home.”

“Okay!” Tuan Tuan reached out her small hand to grasp Yang Jinchuan’s large one, happily heading inside.

Xiaomei watched their backs, feeling her mood lighten.

[Sweetheart, I hope bringing you back is a blessing, not a curse.]

...

Dinner at the Yang household was abundant but light, with dishes suitable for children. The food was shaped like animals and flowers—both beautiful and delicious.

Tuan Tuan happily ate as Ai Xin arrived.

She called Yang Jinchuan outside and said helplessly, “Yang Yu refuses to come back. He says that with Tuan Tuan here, there’s no place for him.”

Yang Jinchuan hadn’t expected the sixth son to be so unwelcoming toward Tuan Tuan.

“If he doesn’t want to come back, then he shouldn’t,” Yang Jinchuan said, turning to leave. He would never compromise regarding anything about Tuan Tuan.

Ai Xin was speechless.

Yang Jinchuan was actually giving up on his youngest son?

She had worked so hard to coax Yang Yu to return, forcing Yang Jinchuan’s hand, but now it was all for nothing.

Yang Yu was the youngest in the Yang family, spoiled since childhood. His brothers always gave way to him, and grandparents doted on him, letting him get away with anything.

If he found out no one cared for him anymore, given his personality, he’d surely cause chaos.

Ai Xin hurried back. Perfect! She had to tell the little tyrant this news quickly!

She would have him come back and stir up a storm!
