“So terrifying!” Hong Ying finally managed to close Zhang’s little mouth and exclaimed, her face full of shock.

The other team members muttered silently in agreement—indeed, it was frightening!

Although Xin Feng’s combat strength wasn’t exactly top-tier, within their group he was among the strongest, otherwise he wouldn’t have been appointed as the deputy leader.

He only gave Zhang a light slap!

“Tell me, if we really fought for real, do you think I’d kill him with just one slap?” Xin Feng’s eyes gleamed as he asked.

“Probably!” Hong Ying nodded, then quickly hurried after Tang Long and Qiang Wei as they left.

It wasn’t often to come across such a powerhouse; no matter if it was to get close to him or build connections, one had to make a strong impression first—so they could learn from him later.

Tang Long was someone who had steadily climbed to the pinnacle of the military world—he knew better than anyone which people special forces respected the most.

Around one in the afternoon, the team who went to purchase supplies from Fish Head Village returned. They had bought four cattle and ten sheep. Liu had specifically instructed them to buy extra, since the village still had some tourists, and even without tourists, a few hundred mouths still had to be fed.

Besides cattle and sheep, the rest was pork, though the pork was purchased directly from the meat processing plant, not live pigs, and was loaded onto trucks.

“Have someone keep watch. Our village’s ancestor isn’t to be revealed or flaunted just yet!” Tang Long ordered before leading the group up the mountain, instructing villagers to block several entrances. It was still too early for publicity. Next time Fish Head Village welcomed guests, at least the infrastructure would be fully in place—unlike now, where there wasn’t even a public restroom.

After giving the orders, Tang Long led a dozen villagers, herding the cattle and sheep toward the cliff on the mountain.

Qiang Wei and the other special forces members followed closely. They had heard tales of many mythical beasts around the world, but none had ever seen one until now.

Coming to “visit” the Black Scale Flood Dragon was a chance to open their eyes.

Tang Long instructed the villagers to drive the cattle and sheep to the cliff’s edge. He wasn’t sure if the big black dragon ate pork, so he decided to ask it later. If it did, they would simply feed it pork.

At the cliff’s edge, since Zhang Xiu’e and others had already seen the big black dragon last night, they were somewhat accustomed to it.

But Qiang Wei and the special forces were not so fortunate—their first encounter with the Black Scale Flood Dragon left their faces pale as the massive creature poked its head out of the sea.

Damn!

So this was the legendary flood dragon?

“Eat!” Tang Long gestured toward the cattle and sheep at the cliff’s edge.

In daylight, the big black dragon looked even more majestic, possessing a noble aura reminiscent of a “Black Dragon King.”

Perhaps genuinely hungry, it made no pretense with Tang Long, swooping down from midair and swallowing three cattle and five sheep whole, like they were mere chicks.

Tang Long scratched his head in disbelief—such an appetite was enormous!

“Are you full now?”

After climbing ashore, the Black Scale Flood Dragon coiled beside Tang Long and conveyed: “Blood food is insufficient; it will need to feed again, and this time ten times the amount!”

Ten times?

Tang Long rolled his eyes. Ten times three cattle and five sheep—that meant thirty cattle and fifty sheep!

“Do you even know what ten times means? That’s way too much!” Tang Long laughed and scolded.

If it ate this much every time, Fish Head Village would be completely drained. A single cow cost over ten thousand yuan; a sheep was around one to two thousand. Thirty cattle alone would be over half a million yuan, fifty sheep another fifty thousand—that was a feast costing over half a million!

This wasn’t a lucky temple; it was a money-devouring beast!

“Hungry, severely injured, requires a large amount of blood food to replenish energy!” The Black Scale Flood Dragon conveyed, “Also needs medicinal herbs!”

It didn’t understand what herbs were, but it knew they existed!

“...” Tang Long turned and looked at Qiang Wei. “Have you finished filming?”

“Oh, no, not yet!” Qiang Wei was already stunned, especially after witnessing the dragon swallow the cattle and sheep whole—it sent chills down her spine.

Such large animals could be consumed in one gulp; humans would be no different.

This creature was terrifying beyond belief. If it ever lost control, it would be catastrophic, especially in densely populated areas.

Even experts were like ordinary people in front of it. With such a massive body, it didn’t care whether its prey was a master or a commoner—it swallowed all with one mouthful.

One force overcomes ten skills. No matter how skilled you are, could you possibly escape from its belly?

Except for Qiang Wei, the other special forces members noticed Tang Long wasn’t stopping them and took out their phones to photograph the Black Scale Flood Dragon.

Nearby, Zhang Xiu’e and Zhao Xiaoyue followed suit.

“I’m telling you all, it’s fine to take photos now, but no one is allowed to spread these outside for the time being. If anyone does, they’ll get a spanking!” Tang Long said sternly.

But hearing that the punishment was a “spanking,” the villagers realized that even if the ancestor Black Dragon King’s photos were leaked, it probably wasn’t a big deal.

Indeed, it wasn’t. The big black dragon would eventually be introduced to the public as a mascot to attract visitors to Fish Head Village.

But for now, the dragon’s appearance had to remain secret; it was simply not the right time. Exposure would wait until all the village’s facilities were fully built.

“All right, that’s enough. After all, the big black dragon is our ‘ancestor.’ Don’t treat it like mere food,” Tang Long said after everyone had taken several photos, waving his hand. “Okay, you’re done here. Go back.”

The big black dragon obediently left the cliff and returned to the sea, disappearing from sight.

Don’t misunderstand—its lair was inside the Ghost King Cave, not the sea. The sea was just the entrance and exit, making it more convenient for the dragon to come and go.

Descending from the cliff, everyone was quiet; the daylight encounter had left a deeper impression.

Seeing Qiang Wei’s hesitant expression, Tang Long roughly guessed what she was thinking.

“Are you worried about what would happen if the Black Scale Flood Dragon ever lost control?” Tang Long smiled and asked.

Qiang Wei nodded. “Yes, it’s just too huge.”

Tang Long remained calm. “Many things are unpredictable. No one can say for sure what tomorrow will bring.”

He looked up at her. “You can’t just decide to kill it because it’s big. You have the right to live in this world, and so does it. I think we should treat all life fairly.”

After a pause, he added, “Even if you want to kill it, you’d pay a heavy price. Isn’t it better to have it obedient and well-behaved?”

The big black dragon wasn’t a pushover. If it really came to blows, without deploying heavy weaponry, it wouldn’t be easy to eliminate it.
