After settling Marcus, Li Yang hurriedly made his way to the laboratory.

Unlike the makeshift lab in the underground sewer, the laboratory within Li Yang’s estate was vast, fully equipped, and staffed with more than double the usual number of researchers—a testament to the heritage of the vampire clan.

“Dr. Yorkson, how is he?” Li Yang asked, glancing at the unconscious white youth lying on the bed, then looking up at Dr. Yorkson, who was conducting the examination.

“Your Highness, the subject’s vital signs are all normal. As for why he remains unconscious, we have yet to determine the cause,” Dr. Yorkson replied.

It was only when Li Yang spoke that Dr. Yorkson snapped out of his thoughts; even he found the youth’s condition perplexing.

According to the current data, the young man’s bodily functions were all normal—breathing steady, blood pressure stable, and no traces of drugs detected.

Generally, human unconsciousness is attributed to two causes: external trauma or drugs. External trauma includes blows, fright, illnesses, and so forth, all of which can induce unconsciousness.

But clearly, this youth did not fall into any of those categories. With the top medical experts gathered in Li Yang’s lab, pinpointing an external cause would have been straightforward.

In fact, the tests revealed that the youth was not only free of illness but unusually healthy. Ordinarily, even the healthiest people carry minor ailments; biological life inevitably bears the marks of time and wear.

Unless one is a transcendent being. Yet the youth’s case was different: his bodily data fell within normal human ranges, but his physical functions remained at peak performance with no signs of wear or damage—an anomaly indeed.

“Has his blood test report come back? Does it match the characteristics of the Perfect Blood?” Li Yang inquired.

He was not surprised by Dr. Yorkson’s findings. If the youth truly carried the Perfect Blood lineage, such traits would be expected. Though the undead bloodline inherited from Alexander and Covenas was recessive, its marvel lay in its ability to slowly repair internal damage and resist harmful substances. When faced with an irresistible viral attack, this bloodline would be fully activated, assimilating the virus and evolving beneficially.

To put it simply: carriers of the Perfect Blood rarely fall ill; harmful substances are expelled from their bodies. But when confronted with a powerful virus that cannot be eliminated, their bloodline spontaneously awakens, assimilating the virus—just as Marcus and William experienced.

“Your Highness, the blood sample is still being analyzed, but the results should be out shortly,” Dr. Yorkson answered.

Not only Li Yang was anxious; Dr. Yorkson was equally curious about the Perfect Blood. As a biologist obsessed with research, uncovering the secrets of this miraculous bloodline would mark a milestone in his career and potentially shake the world.

“His case is quite special. Step aside a bit.” Li Yang smiled wryly as he looked at the serene face of the white youth.

The youth’s condition resembled Marcus’s, though his resistance was significantly weaker, explaining his continued unconsciousness.

With that in mind, Li Yang placed a hand on the youth’s forehead, closed his eyes slightly, and sent forth a subtle mental probe.

Under Li Yang’s spiritual perception, every detail within the young man’s body was vividly displayed in his mind, confirming Dr. Yorkson’s assessment—everything was normal, without the slightest anomaly.

Just then, a strange wave of spiritual energy burst from the youth’s mind, surging along Li Yang’s spirit and invading his consciousness.

“Heh—let’s see what mischief you’re up to!” Li Yang sneered, choosing not to block the intrusion.

Now that his vital energy, spirit, and consciousness were harmoniously fused, this strange spiritual force—though powerful—was loose and of no higher quality than an ordinary person’s. Li Yang was unafraid of what it could do to him.

“Hisss... wooo...” The spiritual force entered Li Yang’s mind, only to be immediately seized by the sudden eruption of the Six-Winged Golden Centipede Diagram, which attacked and trapped it in an instant.

“Speak! Who are you?” Li Yang frowned as he stared at the formless, twisted spiritual presence within his mind.

This spiritual fluctuation was peculiar—vast yet loose—unlike any typical cultivator’s spirit.

Usually, untrained cultivators cannot even separate their spirit from their body, let alone invade another’s consciousness; those capable of such feats are at least Daoist masters proficient in spiritual cultivation.

Moreover, cultivators’ spirits are typically refined and of far superior quality to ordinary humans, often bearing unique attributes from their cultivation methods.

But this spiritual force was different—only slightly stronger than a normal human’s, with crude and instinct-driven attack methods.

Li Yang considered this a very rough form of spiritual use. Yet curiously, despite its lack of cultivation marks, it was enormous—so large that even Li Yang’s own spirit did not match its scale.

If this spirit were a huge, bulky man, Li Yang would be a lean but muscular athlete in comparison.

“Die!” The trapped spirit force showed no fear, violently breaking free from the golden centipede’s grasp and charging directly at Li Yang’s spirit.

“What a waste!” Li Yang activated the symbol of the Angry Clear Rooster in his mind, which blazed like a miniature sun, slowly rising to suppress the invading spirit.

“Ah... ugh...” The spirit shrieked in agony, its form rapidly shrinking by half as if exposed to the burning sun’s fire, letting out a cursed shout thick with a Middle Eastern accent.

“Speak! Who are you?” Li Yang’s brow furrowed deeper as the spirit writhed in struggle.

From the current situation, it seemed an unknown force had targeted him—and the worst part was, he had no clue who or what it was.

“Heh heh... prepare to die!” The spirit laughed viciously, swelling in size before exploding violently within Li Yang’s mind.

“Ugh...” Li Yang groaned, shaken by the blast, and stared at the youth on the bed, his brow tightly knit. He had not expected such a formidable spirit to rather destroy itself than reveal any information.

Meanwhile, in the capital of Ireland, Dublin.

Within a lavish and opulent secret underground chamber, four figures sat around a massive round table.

“Ah... ah! Ugh...” Suddenly, the tall figure on the left let out a piercing scream, blood trickling from the seven orifices of his face.

“Thomas! What’s wrong?” The other three immediately gathered around, their expressions grave.

“Oh... shit! I’m going to kill him... I think I might have been exposed...” After a moment, the bleeding figure recovered, muttering a string of weak curses.

“Did you leak any of our information?” The sturdy figure at the head of the table asked.

“No, he only discovered me; he doesn’t know our specifics!” Thomas replied, struggling to hold himself upright as he glanced at the solid figure.

“I don’t understand why we don’t strike directly at his estate. Instead, we hide here, using petty tactics to monitor him. If you can’t give me a satisfactory answer, I will withdraw from this and refuse to participate.”

A slim woman seated at the foot of the table spoke, addressing the sturdy figure at the head.

“Do you think I’d ask for your help over something trivial?” the sturdy man said.

“We’re dealing with a mysterious and powerful being. I know almost nothing about his abilities.”

“You all know my perception has never failed me. When I discovered him, I sensed that if we confronted him head-on, survival would be impossible.”

“From the intelligence I gathered, this man comes from a mysterious ancient Eastern kingdom. His name is Li Yang, the so-called originator of the Bloodline Sorcerer, the master of thunder, the god of Bloodline Sorcery.”

“But I couldn’t find any record of him, nor have I heard of Bloodline Sorcery. I suspect he might be an ancient Eastern cultivator.”

“I’ve called you all here to deal with him because I have a feeling he’s already targeting me.”

Seeing the dissatisfaction on the faces below, the sturdy man slowly revealed all he knew.

“Do you have any proof?” The three below exchanged glances upon hearing this.

“The Immortal Bloodline. He’s investigating the Immortal Bloodline, searching for its origin. Is that proof enough?” The sturdy figure hesitated, knowing none present were easily fooled. To gain their full support, honesty was the only way.
