My grandfather has passed away; I need to take a day off.

On the day this book was published, my grandfather’s health took a turn for the worse.

For a whole month, he took more than thirty doses of traditional medicine, but there was no improvement. Deep down, I already sensed he wouldn’t last much longer.

After all, he was seventy-five years old, and had been struggling with memory loss for years. His body just couldn’t hold on.

For that entire month, we went back and forth to the hospital to get medicine, but eventually, he refused to take any more.

He even stopped eating altogether.

At that point, we tried to admit him to the hospital for a while, but were told it was too late to save him. He was sent home the same day.

He lay in bed for nine days after returning, waiting for all family members to gather, and then peacefully passed away.

I know he didn’t suffer, and at seventy-five, this is considered a blessed passing. Still, tonight my heart feels restless.

I don’t know why. I wrote a little tonight, but it didn’t help.

I will be observing mourning for the next two days and will do my best to update when I can.

Thank you, dear readers.

Thank you.

I hadn’t planned on sharing family matters, but I only wrote a bit today.

I don’t fully understand why.

I must ask for a day off.
