Chapter Fifteen: Jiang Qian Seeks Revenge

Su Wanjun had originally hoped to hold out until his son, Su Wudao, arrived with reinforcements. Yet, even wielding the clan’s treasured heirloom, the Azure Edge Sword, he could not withstand Jiang Qian’s assault. His precious sword was forcibly severed by the opponent’s blade, and his heart ached as if bleeding.
“How is this possible? What rank is your sword that it can effortlessly cleave through my Azure Edge Sword?” Su Wanjun asked in horror, his pain mingled with disbelief.
Jiang Qian let out a cold snort, a hint of pride in her voice. “My sword is the peerless spirit weapon, Rainbow Strike, gifted by my master. Su Wanjun, do you have any last words?”
Only then did Su Wanjun realize his defeat was well-deserved. His Azure Edge Sword was merely a mid-grade spirit weapon, painstakingly acquired by the clan at great expense. Under ordinary circumstances, he would never have drawn it.
Now that the Azure Edge Sword was broken, he had no leverage to counter Jiang Qian’s onslaught. He intended to self-detonate as a last resort to stall her. But this plan was doomed from the start. Since mastering the Celestial Dao Array, Jiang Qian had reached a minor mastery in array formation.
With a grand wave of her hand, a series of spirit power isolation arrays instantly enveloped Su Wanjun, making it exceedingly difficult for him to draw upon his spiritual energy.
One must know, self-detonation requires the support of celestial spiritual energy; without it, like a tree without oxygen, it cannot ignite.
Seeing the array severing his connection to the world’s spiritual energy, Su Wanjun’s desire to die was stifled, plunging him into despair. All he could do now was pray that his son, Su Wudao, would return quickly to break the siege.
But at this moment, Su Wudao was still rushing back, unable to arrive anytime soon. He deeply regretted letting a remnant enemy escape earlier, which had grown so rapidly. If only he had not been enticed by the allure of the enemy sisters and swiftly eliminated the Jiang family, none of this chaos would have arisen. However, no matter how much he pondered, it was already too late; the reinforcements he brought would not arrive for at least another hour.
Elsewhere, Jiang Qian showed no urgency to kill Su Wanjun outright. Instead, she merely crippled his cultivation and trapped him within the array. Then she drew her sword again, turning her gaze toward the other Su family members. Though Qin Tian was formidable, he was still unable to swiftly eliminate all the others.
With Jiang Qian joining forces, the siblings combined their strengths—one focusing on array formations, the other on swordsmanship. This alliance dealt a devastating blow to the remaining Su family remnants. Jiang Qian’s restraining arrays made effective coordination impossible, while Qin Tian, empowered by her array, could effortlessly dispatch the Su family members.

This success was also due to Qin Tian’s Celestial Dao Sword Technique and his exceptional spirit sword, which complemented each other, exponentially increasing their power. One by one, the remaining Su family members were consumed by despair.
Jiang Qian sneered coldly. “Su family, when you surrounded my Jiang family earlier, did you feel the desperation we endured? Now, I return that despair to you!”
The elder Su family members knew resistance was futile. They exchanged a glance and prepared for self-detonation. Yet Jiang Qian had anticipated this. As they attempted to explode themselves, the isolation arrays severed their connection to the celestial spiritual energy, making self-detonation impossible.
“Senior sister, shall we eliminate them all?” Qin Tian paused, mindful that attacking now would break the isolation arrays.
Jiang Qian replied, “Junior brother, not yet. Killing them outright would be too lenient. Let me cripple them.”
Qin Tian nodded, refraining from further attack. Jiang Qian then personally suppressed the cultivation of all the Su family members, rendering them no better than the disabled.
Afterwards, Jiang Qian and Qin Tian gathered the crippled Su family members and confined them within the Su clan’s inner courtyard, awaiting Su Wudao’s return.
Half an hour later, Su Wudao returned to the city with reinforcements, only to find the grounds stained with blood. A grave unease settled in his heart. He strode into the inner courtyard and was relieved to find his father and the elders alive, though upon closer inspection, he discovered their cultivations had been nullified. Fury flared within him as he turned to Liao Chen and the others nearby.
“How dare you bully the Su family! Very well! This time, I will see you all dead!” Su Wudao declared, then respectfully addressed the elder of the Blood Sect beside him. “Elder Xue, please intervene and slaughter these scoundrels!”
Elder Xue was a master of the Sect, wielding a Triple Heaven rank within the Mysterious King realm. Even before Su Wudao finished speaking, he noticed that Liao Chen and the Azure Dragon were no ordinary foes. To his astonishment, both had reached the Imperial realm.
Stepping forward with bold confidence, Elder Xue said, “Wudao, this is a matter between the Su and Jiang families. Since the Jiang family has called in reinforcements, I will follow the Sect Leader’s orders and help you resolve this trouble. Among these four, two are the most powerful adults; I will restrain them. The other two juveniles, you must handle yourself.”
Su Wudao’s heart soared with joy. With their support, victory was assured. He then turned to Jiang Qian.

“Jiang Qian, I was careless before, giving your Jiang family a chance to breathe. Today, I will capture you and make you submit beneath me. By the way, why hasn’t your sister Jiang Yue shown up? Otherwise, I could have taken you all down and had some fun!”
Jiang Qian’s eyes narrowed coldly. “Su Wudao, I don’t even need my sister to kill you. Today, I have crippled your clan; next, it will be your turn. Prepare to die!”
With that, Jiang Qian drew her spirit sword and lunged at Su Wudao. In just a few days, Su Wudao’s cultivation had surged from the Sixth Heaven of the Nascent Soul realm to its pinnacle—just one breakthrough from entering the Celestial Spirit realm.
He dodged Jiang Qian’s attack with full effort, though his clothes were torn. It was then he realized he had underestimated her. He began to take his opponent seriously, fully activating his cultivation techniques.
Su Wudao practiced the Blood Fury Heavenly Blade technique of the Asura Sect, a skill that channels murderous energy into his body, growing stronger with each strike—a top-tier Earth-grade technique. Suddenly, his spirit blade erupted with blood-red demonic flames, a bizarre and eerie sight.
Sweeping his blade toward Jiang Qian, she did not back down but met his spirit power head-on with her spirit sword.
Clang!
A crisp sound rang out as a powerful wave of spirit energy radiated outward. Su Wudao was pushed back ten meters, while Jiang Qian was sent flying fifteen meters.
At this moment, Jiang Qian understood why he confronted her with such force—his cultivation relied on overpowering techniques. Although her Heavenly Blade Array combined with her supreme spirit sword was immensely powerful, she was at a disadvantage against an opponent whose cultivation emphasized brute strength over technique.
Not skilled in sword or blade combat, Jiang Qian shifted to configuring arrays. Using her spirit sword as the array’s core, she casually formed the Yin-Yang Dual Energy Array. This formation ensnared Su Wudao as if he had sunk into quicksand, unable to escape.
Su Wudao recognized her proficiency in arrays and produced a talisman, shouting, “Break!”
The talisman exploded, and the intense spiritual energy blast shattered the array, allowing him to break free. He immediately launched a close-range attack on Jiang Qian, forcing her to retreat and create space.
But Su Wudao was relentless; he closed the distance once more, leaving Jiang Qian struggling to keep up with his ferocity.
