Yuan Zhen Yu snarled with anger, “Boy, don’t block my path, or you’ll die a miserable death!”
With that, Yuan Zhen’s body trembled as a surging wave of soul power erupted around him like a fierce gale, scattering debris throughout the great hall. He murmured lowly; suddenly, his eyes sharpened to the keen gaze of a hawk. Both hands rapidly transformed into dragon claws, and an overwhelming aura of dominance filled the air.
In an instant, a brilliant blue-purple light burst forth from his body, accompanied by a deafening dragon’s roar. Behind him, the spectral image of a massive Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus formed, its eyes blazing with fury, claws razor-sharp, scales shimmering with a chilling, formidable glow. Its majestic presence seemed capable of tearing through the void, striking awe and terror into all.
Despite Yuan Zhen’s soul power pressure, enough to crush mortal bodies, and the staggering might of the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus, Fang Yuan remained calm and collected. Armed with a secret weapon that allowed him to instantly kill Spirit Masters of a certain rank, he felt no reason to panic. To him, Yuan Zhen’s display was merely an inconsequential farce.
Seeing Fang Yuan unmoved, Yuan Zhen ceased words and launched his assault with a furious roar. His body shot forward like an arrow released from a bow. His two hands, fully transformed into dragon claws covered in scales, carried the force of thunder and lightning. The air around him seemed to tear apart with a sharp whistle as he lunged directly at Fang Yuan.
“Die, lowly scum!”
The great hall was swept by a violent storm, dust swirling wildly. Yuan Zhen’s attack crashed down like a thunderclap, deafeningly loud.
In Yuan Zhen’s eyes, Fang Yuan’s figure rapidly grew larger. Yet, at the very moment of impact, Fang Yuan smiled—a cold, sinister smile.
“The one who should die is you!”
As soon as these words left his lips, it was as if fate itself obeyed. Yuan Zhen’s devastating assault, which could level heaven and earth, suddenly faltered the instant it neared Fang Yuan. Then, without a sound, it vanished entirely.
The raging wind inside the hall stopped abruptly, dust suspended as if frozen in time. Silence returned instantly, leaving only Yuan Zhen’s eyes wide with disbelief, reflecting Fang Yuan’s triumphant smirk.
Yuan Zhen found himself utterly immobile, his soul power drained as if sucked dry, unable to muster even the slightest movement. A potent thought of death surged through his mind—he was about to die.
“So this is all the strength your Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan can muster? Truly disappointing.” Fang Yuan mocked, his deep eyes calm and serene like still pools.
“But I still must send you off properly. I didn’t expect you to endure so long; I’ve already killed you, yet you still breathe. No wonder you’re the number one Beast Spirit.” Saying this, Fang Yuan approached Yuan Zhen, placing a hand on his shoulder. One more use of his secret power, and this old dragon’s fate would be sealed.
At this critical moment, the remaining members of the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan, unwilling to witness their clan leader’s demise, finally could no longer stay silent. They roared desperately toward Yuan Zhen.

“Clan Leader, unleash that move! Avenge us!”
“Clan Leader, even if we all fall, we must protect the next generation of the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan! The legacy must not end with us!”
“Clan Leader, using that move could at least take down one Spirit Master of that rank. It would be worth it!”
“Clan Leader...”
Countless anguished cries echoed in Yuan Zhen’s ears, but struck by Fang Yuan’s secret killing power, Yuan Zhen was powerless. He could clearly feel his life slipping away, yet he was helpless to act.
“Still can’t do it, huh? I really tried my best. I’m sorry to everyone.” Yuan Zhen’s mind raced, memories flashing past like a slideshow—from recent times to distant past.
...
“Tian Heng, Tian Xin, you must perform well in this year’s Elite Spirit Master Academy competition across the continent. Don’t disgrace the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan. Reviving our clan rests on your united effort,” Yuan Zhen earnestly instructed, having decided to pass the mantle of clan leader to these two young men.
“Thank you, Clan Leader. We won’t let you down,” replied Yu Tian Heng and Yu Tian Xin.
...
Clan Tournament.
“No wonder you’re the leader of the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan. Truly, the world’s finest Beast Spirit belongs to your clan,” Sword Spirit Master Chen Xin praised, conceding a draw to Yuan Zhen with genuine respect.
“Hahaha, that’s just the beginning. We’re only the third among the top three clans. Starting with me, the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan will only grow stronger!” Yuan Zhen declared with pride, as if the vast mountains and rivers were already in his grasp.

...
“Yuan Zhen, from today onward, you are the new leader of the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan. You must lead our people to restore the clan’s glory. Don’t disappoint me. Remember this: a dragon is always a dragon! Never to be defeated and made to serve others like a dog!” His worn-out father, barely able to stand, murmured. Yuan Zhen could only sit nearby, tears falling.
“I won’t, Father. I, Yuan Zhen, swear to revive the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan and restore its former glory among the top three clans!”
...
Snapping back to reality, Yuan Zhen gasped, “Is this the taste of death? Am I truly dying here?”
Exhaustion overwhelmed him. Carrying burdens and expectations as heavy as mountains, he often wished for release through death. But could he do it? Could he?
No! Never!
Yuan Zhen had always borne the weight of his parents, comrades, and clan’s hopes. He carried the responsibility of reviving the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan and shielding the next generation.
He would get hurt. He would grow old, stooped and dim-eyed. But as long as one breath remained, he must rise and shoulder his duty. Yuan Zhen could not give up. He had every reason to fight.
“That’s right, I cannot die. I cannot! I still have fierce enemies to defeat, missions to complete, descendants to nurture. Surrounded by foes, if I fall now, the Blue Thunder Tyrannosaurus Clan will be wiped out—our efforts erased to dust. How can I fall? I must not! No matter how tired, no matter how exhausted, even if I sleep forever or die by a single sword strike, I, Yuan Zhen, will never fall. I will stand and fight!”
In that instant, it was as if the entire Spirit Continent responded to his indomitable will. A miracle began to unfold.
